SCST to visit Chengdu
The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Miss Rosanna Law, will depart for Chengdu, Sichuan Province, tomorrow morning (September 4), where she will officiate at the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Week 2026@Chengdu (HK Week@Chengdu).
Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, HK Week@Chengdu will be held in Chengdu from September 4 to 20. Over a span of 17 days, over 60 performances, exhibitions and activities will be presented to fully demonstrate Hong Kong's diverse cultural strengths, including dance, music, theatre, films, intangible cultural heritage, toy culture and design.
During her stay in Chengdu, Miss Law will pay a courtesy call on Sichuan and Chengdu government officials. She will also attend a Hong Kong tourism networking event in Chengdu organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
Miss Law will return to Hong Kong on September 6 (Sunday). During her absence, the Under Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Raistlin Lau, will be the Acting Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Proposed amendments to footbridge in Kwun Tong gazetted
The Government gazetted today (September 4) the proposed amendments to the works of a footbridge in Kwun Tong, in order to delete a section of the originally proposed footbridge along How Ming Lane and across How Ming Street.
Details of the proposed amendments are set out in the Annex. The amendment plan and amendment scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendments is required to address to the Secretary for Transport and Logistics an objection in writing, which can be submitted via the following means:
- by post or by hand to the Transport and Logistics Bureau's Drop-in Box No. 6 located at the entrance on 2/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong. The box is available for use between 8am and 7pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays);
- by fax to 2868 4643; or
- by email to gazettetlb@tlb.gov.hk.
A notice of objection should describe the objector's interest and the manner in which he or she alleges that he or she will be affected by the proposed amendments. Objectors are requested to provide contact details to facilitate communication. A notice of objection should be delivered to the Secretary for Transport and Logistics not later than November 3, 2026.
