Li Shulei, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with Nguyen Xuan Thang, chairman of the Central Theory Council of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), in Beijing on Tuesday.
Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said the two sides should work together to deliver on the common understandings between the top leaders of the two parties.
The two sides should carry out in-depth exchanges and mutual learning regarding theories and experience in party and state governance, and advance the building of a higher-level China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, Li said.
Nguyen Xuan Thang said Vietnam is willing to study and learn from the experience of the CPC in leading the Chinese people over the past century, as well as Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, to jointly promote the continuous development of the socialist cause in both countries.
