Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun on Thursday said economic and trade cooperation between China and India is mutually beneficial.

Guo made the comment at a press briefing in Beijing when responding to a question about Indian authorities reportedly recommending an investigation into a Chinese company over alleged violations.

"I am not familiar with the specifics. Economic and trade cooperation between China and India is, by nature, mutually beneficial. We hope that the Indian side will provide a fair, just, transparent, and non-discriminatory business environment for enterprises from all countries investing and operating in India," he said.
