SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyosung Corporation has officially launched STT Seoul 1, a 30MW hyperscale data center, marking a strategic expansion into the AI data center market.

Under the leadership of Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon, Hyosung has partnered with STT GDC to target Korea's data center market, which is projected to reach KRW 20 trillion by 2030. Singapore-headquartered STT GDC operates a portfolio of more than 100 data centers across 12 countries in Asia and Europe, with approximately 2.3GW of IT capacity.

Opening of the 30MW Hyperscale Data Center 'STT Seoul 1'

Built through the Hyosung-STT GDC joint venture, STT Seoul 1 integrates Hyosung Heavy Industries' advanced power solutions with STT GDC's global standards in design, operation, and services. This 30MW facility is engineered to support diverse cloud and AI deployments, effectively handling increasingly complex, high-density workloads.

A key differentiator of STT Seoul 1 is its ability to provide up to 30MW of IT capacity right in the heart of Seoul, an area where securing power is highly challenging. While major data centers are increasingly being pushed to the outskirts or regional areas due to energy regulations and grid constraints, this prime urban location minimizes data transmission latency by staying close to major business hubs.

The facility also adheres to stringent global security standards to proactively manage potential threats and operational risks, including external intrusions and natural disasters. Notably, it has achieved the Tier III Certification of Design Documents (TCDD)[1] from the Uptime Institute, ensuring seamless server operations and high service continuity even during equipment maintenance or system failures.

"I have long been convinced that data will become the 'oil of the 21st century.' Foreseeing an era where AI competitiveness equates to national competitiveness, we set out to build a data center that will serve as the heart of AI," said Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon during the opening ceremony.

He further emphasized, "STT Seoul 1 is the culmination of STT GDC's expertise and Hyosung's power solution capabilities. It will stand as a core infrastructure supporting the growth of South Korea's AI industry and a new milestone in strengthening future competitiveness. By developing the data center business into Hyosung's new growth engine, we will transform the paradigm of the global AI ecosystem beyond Korea."

Strategic Directive: Concentrating Core Capabilities on AI Data Centers

Driven by the expansion of AI services and the surging global demand for data, Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon has directed the group to concentrate its core capabilities on the AI data center business, creating a highly differentiated business model based on robust inter-affiliate synergy.

Hyosung Heavy Industries will leverage its power equipment capabilities, including ultra-high-voltage transformers and circuit breakers, together with its energy-efficiency technologies to enhance both operational stability and power efficiency at AI data centers. Building on its extensive construction expertise in liquefaction plants and hydrogen refueling stations, the company plans to systematically build specialized technologies and construction expertise for AI data centers. Furthermore, Hyosung ITX will integrate its established IT business expertise—spanning cloud services, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), and digital transformation (DX) solutions—into overall data center operations. The company plans to implement traffic optimization and security management systems to enhance the technical reliability and operational stability of AI data centers.

"Hyosung is a company equipped with the technological prowess of a top-tier global power equipment manufacturer, robust construction capabilities, and nearly 30 years of accumulated IT operational experience," stated Chairman Cho Hyun-Joon. "The AI data center business is the crystallization of Hyosung's core competencies and must be developed into the group's future growth axis."

In the United States, the world's largest power market, big tech companies are significantly expanding investments in AI data centers. Hyosung Heavy Industries has maintained its leadership in the U.S. 765kV ultra-high-voltage transformer market since the early 2010s and currently supplies nearly half of the 765kV ultra-high-voltage transformers installed across the U.S. power grid, underscoring its pivotal role in supporting the power infrastructure of the AI era.

ELEGOO brings community together with the launch of its annual celebration, featuring the enhanced $1 Million Creator Fund, Make It Real Challenge, new model generators and special offers.

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ELEGOO, a rapidly developing brand in global smart manufacturing, today announces ELEGOO DAY 2026, its annual celebration of the community, ideas and possibilities shaping the future of 3D printing. This year's campaign highlights ELEGOO's efforts to build a more connected ecosystem that helps people turn inspiration into creation and real-world impact.

At the center of ELEGOO DAY 2026 is Nexprint, ELEGOO's growing 3D model community and creative platform. Through creator incentives, creative challenges and model generators, Nexprint is designed to make 3D creation more accessible and help creators share, connect and grow.

Turning 2D Inspiration into 3D Reality

As part of ELEGOO DAY, Nexprint will launch the Make It Real Challenge from September 10 through October 30, inviting creators to transform 2D ideas, images and inspiration into 3D models.

Without a fixed theme, the challenge encourages creators to freely explore ideas, from turning visual inspiration into decorative models to designing new creations. Creators can also use Nexprint's upcoming Text & Image to 3D Generator, along with Vase and Nameplate Generators, to simplify the journey from concept to printable model.

Winning creations will be announced on November 20, with selected creators eligible to receive ELEGOO coupons worth up to $300. Creators can learn more and participate through the Make It Real Challenge. Creators can also join through social media for a chance to win ELEGOO's flagship FDM or LCD 3D printer, including the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo and Saturn 4 Ultra 16K. Full participation details are available on the ELEGOO DAY 2026 page.

ELEGOO is also introducing an upgraded $1 Million Creator Fund, designed to recognize and reward creators for contributing models to Nexprint. Creators can earn up to $100 per model, with additional incentives bringing potential rewards up to $300. Milestone rewards, rankings and other community incentives further encourage creators to participate and grow with Nexprint.

Extending the Impact of 3D Printing

For ELEGOO, building an ecosystem is more than adding features to a platform. It means creating more opportunities for people to create, explore and turn ideas into reality. This philosophy also drives ELEGOO's ongoing support for schools, young makers and nonprofit organizations worldwide.

At Alconbury Church of England Primary School in the UK, an ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro has supported a 3D Design & Printing Workshop, helping students develop digital design skills and apply 3D printing in STEM learning. ELEGOO will continue developing programs to support schools, educators and the next generation of creators.

Beyond education, ELEGOO's technology is also helping individuals and organizations create meaningful impact. British maker Luke Hedley uses ELEGOO's Centauri Carbon 2 Combo and filament support to scale production of safety whistles that have contributed to rescue efforts, while nonprofit Manitas para TO2 in Mexico uses ELEGOO printers to produce free adaptive prosthetic arms for people in need.

Together, these initiatives reflect ELEGOO's broader belief that 3D printing can be a tool for creativity, accessibility and meaningful social impact.

Celebrating the Community with ELEGOO DAY Offers

To mark ELEGOO DAY, ELEGOO is also running a limited-time ELEGOO DAY Sale from September 8–29, with discounts of up to 54% on selected products. Popular models such as the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, Centauri Carbon 2 Combo and Mars 5 Ultra are also included in the promotion. Offers vary by region and are available through the ELEGOO DAY Sale page.
