China is willing to work with Association of Southeast Asian Nations to build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing in Beijing on Wednesday.
Guo made the remarks in response to a media query on China's expectation on the upcoming 23rd China-ASEAN Expo.
The expo will be held in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from September 17 to 21.
"The State Council Information Office held a press conference on September 1, giving a detailed introduction about the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both sides, China and ASEAN have achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation across various fields, with economic and trade ties becoming ever closer. China is ready to work with ASEAN to give full play to the platform role of the China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, further unleash cooperation potential in various fields, achieve higher-level mutual benefit and win-win results, and promote the building of an even closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future," said Guo.
