China's top legislator Zhao Leji met with Ahmad Muzani, chairman of Indonesia's People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), in Beijing on Sunday.
Zhao, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, said China is willing to work with Indonesia to follow the strategic guidance of the two heads of state and promote continued progress in the cause of bilateral friendship.
The NPC of China stands ready to maintain close exchanges with the MPR of Indonesia, expand cooperation and exchanges, deepen the sharing of governance experience, and better serve the development and rejuvenation of their respective countries, Zhao added.
Noting that Indonesia and China have a deep friendship, Muzani said that it is hoped that through this visit to China, the friendly cooperation between the relevant institutions and people of the two countries can be strengthened, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries can be continuously elevated to new heights.
The MPR of Indonesia is willing to enhance exchanges with the NPC of China and promote in-depth and substantive cooperation between the two countries in various fields, said Muzani.

China targets over 80 percent agricultural mechanization rate by 2030, according to its 15th Five-Year Plan for the development of agricultural mechanization released recently.
The plan jointly issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology aims to boost China's high-quality development in agricultural mechanization, integrating advanced technologies like AI and new energy into farming practices nationwide.
According to the Plan, by 2030, China aims to raise the comprehensive mechanization rate for crop plowing, planting, and harvesting to over 80 percent.
The mechanization rate in hilly and mountainous regions is expected to reach over 75 percent.
The capacity for socialized agricultural machinery services will be greatly improved, alongside a significant enhancement in disaster-related capabilities over the next five years.
The major goals of the plan include the high-quality development of agricultural equipment, the promotion and application of these equipment, and broadening the scope of agricultural machinery use to foster new industries and new business models.
They also include the enhancement of the quality of mechanized agricultural production and the improvement of policy support across the entire industry chain.
