U.S. President Donald Trump warned Sunday that he has entered a critical decision phase on the Iran war, cautioning that major developments will occur if Tehran fails to change its conduct, while Qatar said it is in contact with both sides to push for renewed negotiations.
"My question is if and when do I blow the entire nation up? They had better behave," Trump told Fox News, describing his options as wiping Iran out, allowing it to "rot" economically, or negotiating a deal. He added that "very big things are going to be happening in the not-so-distant future."
Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command said in a statement Sunday that intelligence obtained by Tehran shows the United States, with the tacit approval of certain Middle Eastern countries, has again decided to continue hostile actions against Iran in order to cover up its failures.
Meanwhile, Qatar's foreign ministry spokesperson Ansari said Sunday that Doha is maintaining communication with both the United States and Iran to promote the resumption of negotiations. He said multiple U.S. officials have indicated that Washington hopes to reach an agreement and end the conflict.
Speaking during the Qatar Economic Forum in New York, Ansari said Qatar has been exchanging views with the United States and Iran over the past few weeks and is working to bridge differences, though he did not provide a timetable for resuming talks.
Ansari said any solution should ensure regional stability while promoting international consensus on protecting strategic waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz. He noted that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is also affected by regional conflicts.

China will support Chinese and foreign enterprises in making joint technological breakthroughs to help upgrade the auto industry, Wang Weiming, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), said on Saturday.
Wang made the statement as nine government departments on September 10 released a plan for the development of the intelligent connected NEV industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), a major document that has drawn wide attention across the industry.
The plan states that China will open up new prospects for global industrial cooperation and help build global industrial and supply chains. It calls for strengthening top-level design for the international development of the auto industry and guiding companies to deepen international cooperation through trade, investment and technological cooperation.
Speaking at the 2026 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development, which took place in Tianjin from Thursday to Sunday, Wang noted that in recent years many multinational companies have deepened cooperation with Chinese firms. China has also led the formulation of 18 global technical regulation documents and 30 international standards, deeply integrating into global industrial and supply chains.
He also said China will continue to pursue internationalized innovation and global development, oppose all forms of protectionism, and promote mutual recognition of international standards and rules.
"China supports Chinese and foreign enterprises in jointly carrying out technological breakthroughs, sharing innovation results and building an industrial ecosystem together, so as to jointly promote the transformation and upgrading of the global auto industry," Wang said.
