HONG KONG, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CSOP Hang Seng Pioneer Technology Index ETF (3149.HK) will list on HKEX tomorrow (25th September 2026). 3149.HK seeks to provide investment results that, before deduction of fees and expenses, closely correspond to the performance of Hang Seng Pioneer Technology Index (net total return version) (the Index). It has a listing price of about HK$7.8 per unit, a board lot size of 100, and management fee of 0.99%.

3149.HK offers dedicated exposure to Hong Kong-listed technology innovators. "Pioneer Technology" refers to Hong Kong-listed emerging technology companies with strong innovation capabilities and growth potential. To achieve the investment objective of CSOP Hang Seng Pioneer Technology Index ETF, a combination of physical representative sampling and synthetic representative sampling strategy is adopted to closely correspond to the performance of the Index.

Chinese companies have demonstrated increasingly strong global competitiveness across the three core AI pillars: AI semiconductors, foundation models and embodied AI, supported by rapid localization, competitive model performance and a comprehensive industrial ecosystem.

In AI semiconductors, TrendForce estimated in August 2026 that domestically developed AI chips would account for nearly 90% of China's AI chip market in 2026, up from 45% in 2025[1]. In foundation models, Chinese LLMs are gaining traction through competitive performance and cost efficiency, with 62% of AI applications built on Chinese LLMs by the end of 2025, versus 32% for U.S. models[2]. In embodied AI, China's integrated value chain across core components, hardware manufacturing, AI algorithms and end-market applications further underscores its competitive position. Smart Analytics Global (SAG) data show that Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers accounted for more than 97% of global shipments in the first half of 2026[3]. The Hurun Global Unicorn Index 2026 indicates that China is home to 32 of the world's 50 robotics unicorns, ahead of the U.S. with 15[4].

Beyond company-level growth, the rise of "sovereign AI" is reinforcing China's push to build a more self-reliant AI ecosystem. Underpinned by policy backing, a large domestic market and continued technological advancement, this structural trend creates a favorable backdrop for the long-term growth of China's AI sector.

Hang Seng Pioneer Technology Index (net total return version) aims to reflect the overall performance of innovative technology companies listed in Hong Kong that drive breakthrough innovation and demonstrate strong sales growth. The Index comprises 30 eligible securities, is reviewed quarterly, and applies an 8% cap on each constituent. In addition, the aggregate weighting of constituents not eligible for Stock Connect trading is capped at 35%. The top 10 constituents of the Hang Seng Pioneer Technology Index include UBTECH Robotics, Innoscience, Horizon Robotics-W, SenseTime-W, Hesai-W, MiniMax-W, Biren Technology, Z.AI, WeRide-W and Montage Technology[5].

Ms. Ding Chen, CEO of CSOP, said, "Hong Kong is emerging as an important listing venue for a new generation of AI and technology innovators. We believe these companies are well positioned to benefit from structural demand growth and China's accelerating AI development. The launch of the CSOP Hang Seng Pioneer Technology Index ETF marks an important step in providing Hong Kong investors with efficient access to this dynamic and fast-growing segment of the technology market."

Powered by W-Hong LLM, EliteMind lets students take AI models and programs from digital learning into real-world sensing, reasoning and action.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- WhalesBot, a global leader in STEM and AI education, has announced EliteMind, a modular Physical AI robot designed to bring AI learning into the physical world for elementary and middle school students. With EliteMind, students can develop their own models and programs in WhalesBot's learning platform, then deploy them directly for testing and hands-on experimentation, turning digital AI projects into tangible, interactive experiences.

Powered by W-Hong LLM, WhalesBot's AI model built for STEM and AI education, EliteMind brings perception, reasoning, and physical action together in a complete Physical AI loop. It integrates intent recognition, voice interaction, visual understanding, and AI-powered creation with physical control, giving students a hands-on way to understand how AI works in the physical world. Its lightweight, modular design allows sensors and actuators to be combined across different robotic configurations, enabling students to build and explore a range of real-world AI applications.

EliteMind connects with OceanLevel, WhalesBot's AI literacy learning platform, to bridge structured AI learning and hands-on practice in the physical world. Within this system, WhalesBot OceanLevel provides age-appropriate AI courses, AI tools, model training, and programming, while EliteMind brings what students learn and build in the digital environment into the real world for practice, testing, and feedback. Together, they bring AI understanding, digital creation, and hands-on practice into one continuous learning experience.

"As AI increasingly operates in real-world systems, AI education also needs to move beyond the screen," said Xufeng Fei, CEO of WhalesBot, who has advocated for STEM and AI education for decades. "With EliteMind, we aim to support a learning journey from foundational AI literacy to hands-on practice and competition, helping students build practical AI skills step by step."

The launch of EliteMind further strengthens WhalesBot's growing portfolio of AI products powered by W-Hong LLM and adds a new physical dimension to its STEM & AI Learning Ecosystem. Looking ahead, WhalesBot will continue to develop new ways to help students move from understanding AI to building with it and applying it in the real world.
