Setting a New Benchmark in Ready-to-Drink Plant Protein

Built on a rich base of real cashews or pistachios, Clean Protein™ delivers a smooth, indulgent experience with an uncompromising nutritional profile. Powered by a high-quality blend of mung bean and pea protein, each single-serve 11 oz. carton packs 27g of high-performance plant protein, delivering up to 44% of the daily recommended value, with just 190 calories and no more than 4g of sugar. Beyond protein, it serves as an excellent source of iron alongside naturally occurring fibre, calcium, and potassium. Free from gums, seed oils, and artificial additives, the entire line is Certified Vegan, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Kosher, available in convenient four-packs.

Redefining Clean Label in the Functional Aisle

While many protein drinks rely on thickeners and synthetic additives, Clean Protein takes a different path: zero gums, seed oils, carrageenan, or cellulose gels, and no artificial sweeteners. Sweetened purely with cane sugar and stevia leaf extract, it delivers a smooth, indulgent mouthfeel without the typical chalky finish.

“We’re thrilled to bring Clean Protein™ to the Canadian market. This launch marks a major milestone in our mission to provide shoppers with cleaner, more nutritious plant-based options,” said Dan Bukowski, President of Elmhurst 1925. “As demand for more functional wellness continues to grow, we see a significant opportunity to expand the category with a product that delivers exceptional nutrition and taste without compromising ingredient integrity. This launch allows us to continue building alongside our tremendous retail and distribution partners who have put their trust in Elmhurst and our vision for the plant-based beverage space. We’re proud to introduce Clean Protein to Canadian shoppers and continue our commitment to making better-for-you nutrition accessible to more households across North America.”

Four Indulgent Varieties Built for Daily Routines

Designed to make plant-based nutrition genuinely enjoyable, Clean Protein™ introduces four delicious flavours that pair smooth, rich taste with high-protein performance:

Every product is crafted using Elmhurst’s patented HydroRelease™ method, which uses only water to separate and recombine the nutritional components of nuts, grains, or seeds. This process maintains the integrity of the source ingredient without added gums, oils, or emulsifiers, while upcycling waste into energy and operating with 100% renewable hydropower.

All Elmhurst products are made without carrageenan, gums, oils, or other emulsifiers, and are Non-GMO Project Verified, dairy-free, OU Kosher, and vegan.

Canadian Distribution & Retailer Availability

The Clean Protein™ line is now available for distribution across Canada through UNFI Canada. Sold in 4-packs. The beverages will begin hitting shelves at select Canadian retailers including Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, Farm Boy, Save-On-Foods, Longo’s, Fortinos and more in the coming weeks. About Elmhurst 1925

Elmhurst 1925 makes simple, nutritious, and incredibly delicious plant-based alternatives. Elmhurst was founded in 2017, but the company’s roots date back to 1925. Originally Elmhurst Dairy, the multigenerational, family-run organization operated for almost a century under Max Schwartz and son Henry. Sensing the need for cleaner, more nutritious, high-quality plant-based alternatives, Henry made a progressive pivot and decided to close his famous dairy plant and founded Elmhurst Milked. All Elmhurst products are crafted through the company’s unique HydroRelease™ method. Using just water, this process separates the nutritional components of a nut, grain or seed before reassembling them as a creamy plant-based beverage maintaining the full nutrition of the source ingredient without added gums, oils or emulsifiers. HydroRelease™ upcycles any waste into energy and is powered by 100% renewable Hydroelectric Power to drive sustainability every step of the way. CASABLANCA, Morocco (AP) — Morocco’s Authenticity and Modernity Party won the most seats in the country’s parliamentary election, taking 97 of 395 seats in the House of Representatives, according to final results announced by the Interior Ministry on Friday.

The party, founded by a royal adviser close to King Mohammed VI and known by its French acronym PAM, fell short of an absolute majority and will need to negotiate with other parties to form a governing coalition.

The election was shaped by mounting frustration among young people, high unemployment despite a thriving economy and demands for better schools, hospitals and housing.

It was the first vote since the deadly mass migration attempts to Ceuta in July and the Gen Z-led protests last year.

The next government will oversee billions of dollars in investment as Morocco prepares to co-host the 2030 World Cup, prompting some to describe it as the “World Cup government.” The new political leadership will also face pressure to address everyday concerns, including jobs, wages and the cost of living.
