ROK stocks close mixed on Tuesday

The stocks of the Republic of Korea (ROK) ended mixed on Tuesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 62.35 points, or 0.89 percent, to close at 6,941.39 points, and the tech-heavy KOSDAQ Index gained 26.63 points, or 2.98 percent, to finish at 919.92 points.

Tokyo stocks extended gains on Tuesday.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 737.12 points, or 1.05 percent, at 70,683.98.

The broader Topix index rose 38.34 points, or 0.92 percent, to close at 4,183.56 points.
