China condemned the recent Houthi attacks which caused significant casualties and expressed grave concern over the escalating conflict between Riyadh and the Yemeni group, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said Monday at a press conference in Beijing.

"China opposes attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. We urge the parties concerned to refrain from actions that could further escalate regional tensions, resolve differences and disputes through dialogue and negotiations, and work toward peace and stability in the region at an early date," said Mao.
