After nearly a year in the making, "Breaking Through," a major five-part documentary produced by China Global Television Network (CGTN) premiered worldwide on Wednesday.

Hosted by CGTN's Australian reporter Vivienne Nunis and Emmy Award-winning Mike Walter, as well as Spanish journalist and professor Javier Garcia, the series uncovers little-known stories from the Long March and shows how the soldiers' spirit of breaking through endures in China's new era.

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March -- a historic military trek from 1934 to 1936, during which Communist Party of China-led Red Army troops braved raging rivers, snow-covered mountains, and treacherous grasslands, marching as far as 12,500 kilometers. A crucial turning point in Chinese history, the arduous journey laid the foundation for the victory of the Chinese revolution and the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

Iron ore futures finished higher Friday in daytime trading on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE).

The most active iron ore contract for January 2027 delivery rose 0.07 percent to close at 672.50 yuan (about 100.54 U.S. dollars) per tonne.

Iron ore futures were launched on the Dalian Commodity Exchange in October 2013 and have since become the world's most actively traded iron ore derivatives contract.

As the world's largest importer of iron ore, China opened the contract to international investors in May 2018, further enhancing its role as a key price benchmark for the global seaborne iron ore market.
