Featuring Multi-Mission Date with Multiple Functions

TOKYO, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of the latest additions to the family of G-SHOCK shock-resistant watches. The new GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 bring the functional beauty of the first-ever G-SHOCK to an analog design.

G-SHOCK made its debut in 1983 with the DW-5000C, created around the concept of a watch that would not break even if dropped. Since then, the brand has continued to evolve with the times while keeping shock-resistant construction at its core, earning an enthusiastic following around the world.

The new GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 translate the functional beauty of the original DW-5000C into a simple analog design. While carrying forward the iconic form of the original, the watches introduce a new exterior design with softer, more rounded contours.

The watches incorporate the new Multi-Mission Date feature, which uses a three-cell window at the 3 o'clock position to display the date, elapsed minutes for the stopwatch, setting information, and more, depending on the function in use. Setting the year, month, and day with Multi-Mission Date enables a fully automatic calendar in a fully analog watch, eliminating the need for manual date correction.

The small seconds hand at the 9 o'clock position can be stopped when not needed and restarted at any time. This sleep function helps reduce power consumption to extend battery life.

The case design features gentle curves throughout, creating a rich interplay of light and shadow that shifts with the angle of the light. The simple, sharply defined dial and indexes combine a refined look with excellent readability.

  • CMCC Global is leading the next phase of tokenisation, moving crypto-native investment products onto regulated tokenised securities infrastructure for issuance, distribution and secondary trading

SAN SALVADOR, EL SALVADOR, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CMCC Global, one of the world's first asset managers focused solely on blockchain technology, today announces the tokenisation of two of its flagship funds, Crest Fund ("Crest") and the Liberty Bitcoin Accumulation Fund ("LBAF"), set to become the first-ever tokenised fund-of-funds offerings issued under El Salvador's legal framework for digital assets.

The tokens are built using Hadron by Tether, the tokenisation platform developed by the issuer of the world's largest stablecoin, USDT, and will be offered through Bitfinex Securities, a regulated platform for raising capital and trading tokenised securities.

The offerings come as tokenisation continues to expand across global capital markets. Stablecoins, tokenised government bonds and money-market funds alone have grown into the hundreds of billions of dollars in Assets under Management. Crest and LBAF represent the next phase of market evolution. Tokenizing investment products and issuing them on regulated tokenised securities platforms will transform how financial markets work and democratise access for millions who were previously excluded from these opportunities.

"Tokenisation represents the biggest transformation to financial services in a generation" said Martin Baumann, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CMCC Global. "Every asset that can be tokenised will be tokenised. Stablecoins and Treasuries proved the model at a scale of hundreds of billions of dollars. Now it's time for investment funds, and CMCC Global is leading the charge."

Crest and LBAF were developed around two different objectives. Crest is USD-denominated and seeks to generate returns above US Treasury bill yields, while LBAF is designed for investors who measure returns in Bitcoin units and targets net annualised returns of 8–12 percent in Bitcoin terms.

To bring the funds onchain, CMCC Global turned to two partners operating at scale. "By partnering with Tether and Bitfinex Securities we are selecting issuance technology proven at the scale of the world's largest stablecoin, USDt, together with a regulated venue purpose-built for tokenised securities." Baumann said.

Both Crest and LBAF will be tokenized using Tether's technology stack. Hadron by Tether will provide the complete infrastructure needed to launch, manage, and track these tokenised funds.

The launch is also a first for Bitfinex Securities. Crest and LBAF will be the first tokenised funds offered on its platform. "CMCC Global is setting the standard for the next wave of tokenisation: taking investment strategies built inside digital-asset markets and bringing them onchain on regulated infrastructure," said Jesse Knutson, Head of Operations at Bitfinex Securities. "Offerings like this show what open, 24/7 capital markets can do for issuers and investors, and we expect many more fund managers to follow CMCC Global's lead."

The offerings have already attracted institutional backing. BTCS S.A., a Warsaw- and Frankfurt-listed digital asset treasury company (NewConnect: BTF; FRA: 36C), has agreed to serve as anchor investor, intending to allocate an undisclosed triple-digit bitcoin amount for the fund's forthcoming launch via Bitfinex Securities.

"Our Active Treasury model has one rule: the bitcoin on our balance sheet should earn more bitcoin." said Marlena Lipińska, CEO of BTCS S.A. "LBAF measures its returns in bitcoin, is managed by a team with a multi-year track record in market-neutral strategies, and is now available as a tokenized security on a regulated venue. For a listed company that is the right combination: BTC-denominated returns, a professional manager, and a format our auditors and the market can follow. As with everything we do."

The capital raise subscription period for both offerings is now open. Eligible investors can subscribe into the initial public offering until the 30th October 2026, with benefits given to early participants during an initial public offering incentive period.

Crest was co-founded by renowned onchain analyst and investor Willy Woo and CMCC Global and launched in March 2022. LBAF launched in April 2025. Both funds are multi-manager quantitative hedge funds. The funds allocate across market-neutral digital-asset strategies, including funding-rate, cross-venue and volatility arbitrage, market making and DeFi. The underlying strategies have delivered positive returns every year since 2022, weathering every major crypto shock from the Luna collapse and FTX bankruptcy to last October's USD19bn flash crash.

Both funds are segregated portfolios of CMCC Global SPC in the Cayman Islands. Tokens will be issued through Bitfinex Securities El Salvador at USD10 per CREST and 0.0001 BTC per LBAF, with a minimum investment of one token.

The tokens are minted against the underlying participating shares and burned upon redemption, maintaining a 1:1 economic representation of the relevant fund interests. This architecture enables participating fund interests to be represented digitally while remaining subject to full KYC and AML controls. Eligible holders gain access to 24/7/365 secondary-market trading through Bitfinex Securities, alongside options for self-custody using approved, whitelisted addresses.

Eligible investors can subscribe to the offering via https://capital.bitfinex.com/crest and https://capital.bitfinex.com/lbaf
