Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered that any threat from the "enemies," of any level or kind, must be met with an "immediate and impactful" response without geographical limitations, according to a statement released on Saturday.

Khamenei issued the directive to senior commanders of the Iranian armed forces, describing full combat readiness and strong confrontation with the enemy as one of the requirements of Iran's "greatest deterrence."

The supreme leader said if the enemy launches another military or terrorist attack, the Iranian armed forces and the Iranian people will decide when and under what conditions the war ends.

The statement also calls for strengthening the military information architecture, deepening indigenous defense in the two major fields of "doctrine" and "tactics," and harnessing new technologies to enhance national defense and security capabilities.

Among the measures announced was a decision to update the target bank so that various tangible and intangible assets of the U.S. and Israeli enemies fall within the strike range of the Iranian armed forces.

Senior commanders, including the chief of the General Staff and the commander of the army, reported to Khamenei on combat readiness in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and other areas, as well as the preparedness of defense forces in Iran's border regions.
