The China Media Group (CMG) World Robot Mount Tai Challenge kicked off in Tai'an City of east China's Shandong Province on Monday, gathering nearly 90 teams of humanoid, quadruped and exoskeleton robots.
The robots took on the 3.9-kilometer-long ancient stone path from Hongmen to Zhongtianmen of Mountain Tai, tackling 3100 steps and an elevation gain of 600 meters.
The continuous stone stairs, steep slopes and sharp bends are the core challenges for the robot teams carrying the latest scientific research achievements.
The ancient stone paths were turned into a natural competition field, where robot climbers keep ascending and stage a fun-filled tech climbing show.
