Professional Indian honey collector immune to bee stings shows off skills of gathering honey
"... he doesn't feel any pain, even sometimes the bites left behind minor bloating near his lips."
An incredible footage shows a professional Indian honey collector grabs thousands of bees in his t-shirt without using any protective gear.
Suk Mahammad Dalal, 31, from Chandramonipur, West Bengal, who has been gathering honey for the 15 years, said he is immune to bee stings.
He complemented that he doesn't feel any pain, even sometimes the bites left behind minor bloating near his lips.
"I just need a hot cup of tea to recover from them," he said.
Dalal was an assistant to a doctor, who practised Indian system of medicine, in Kolkata. The low paid job upset him so he quit the job but he found the doctor was using large amounts of honey in the medicines he prepared.
"From my childhood, I was good at climbing trees. I had seen bee hives hanging from the trees in my village, in Bankura. So, I went back home to become a bee collector,' said him. "I was once bitten by over 300 bees and became unconscious. I was tempted to return to Kolkata for my earlier job."
Honey-gathering is a dangerous job that people should respect the workers who are doing this.
