Global efforts to build smarter, more sustainable transport networks are taking center stage at the 16th International Exhibition on Transport Technology and Equipment that opened in Beijing on Sunday.
Running from Sunday to Tuesday, this year's exhibition features five zones spread across a 30,000-square-meter area, focusing on infrastructure connectivity, stabilized logistics supply chains, transportation safety and security, green transportation and energy transformation, integrated road and air transport, and smart transportation.
New-generation intelligent technologies for use in the transport and logistics are unveiled at the exhibition, including drones, express delivery vehicles, and photovoltaic charging piles.
"We have invited over 100 leading companies and institutions in the transport sector from around the world, covering the entire transportation chain - from highways, railways, and civil aviation to water transport and postal services. Participants come from more than ten countries, including China, the U.S., Spain, and Denmark. These companies will collaborate to build an international cooperation platform for developing sustainable transportation systems," said Liu Peng, director of the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center.
The exhibition serves as a platform for transportation-related companies and institutions to share knowledge, exchange technologies, and promote investment and trade, fostering sustainable and innovative growth within the transportation sector.
