Chinese animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2", the highest-grossing animated film of all time, began rolling out in cinemas across India and Mongolia starting Friday, winning applause from local audience.
"Ne Zha 2" reimagines the ancient tale of Ne Zha, a rebellious boy-god from Chinese folklore, infusing it with contemporary themes of identity, resilience and social justice.
In Mumbai, India, posters and standees of "Ne Zha 2" are seen everywhere in cinemas.
Moviegoers said they are impressed by "Ne Zha 2", as the film's exploration of universal themes -- such as hope, tenacity and courage -- has struck a chord with viewers.
"I love Ne Zha. He's my favorite character. Right from the beginning till the end, especially his transformation, that really, really took my heart away," said Komal Bhatia, a moviegoer.
"'Ne Zha 2' is a milestone in modern film making, blending timeless narratives of storytelling and groundbreaking animation techniques, which has resonated with audiences worldwide, both on a visual and emotional level," said Denzil Dias, vice president and managing director of India Theatrical at Warner Bros Discovery.
On Friday, Ne Zha 2 premiered in Ulan Bator, Mongolia's capital.
After watching the movie, the audience said that the action scenes and special effects of this animated film were excellent, the scenes were breathtaking, and the pictures were impressive, allowing them to immerse in traditional Chinese culture.
"'Ne Zha 2' combines modern elements with traditional Chinese culture and history, so it is deeply loved by young people," said a moviegoer.
"The whole movie is very exciting. The sound and picture quality are great," said another moviegoer.
