China Railway Nanning Group in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region shipped a total of 65,091 finished vehicles in the first quarter of this year, marking a 29.2 percent increase compared to the same period of last year.

Among them, 40,261 vehicles were dispatched from the Liuzhou Luorong Automobile Logistics Base, an increase of 109 percent year on year, indicating robust export momentum, according to the railway operator.

Guangxi serves as a key bridgehead for China's automobile exports to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its Liuzhou City has a booming auto industry, hosting the vehicle production bases of the country's four major automotive groups.

Over the recent years, China Railway Nanning Group has actively supported Guangxi's development strategy by operating freight trains via the China-Vietnam railway lines and the new western land-sea corridor, facilitating exports of competitive products such as automobiles and heavy machinery and expanding market shares in Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Orders for knockdown kits have risen steadily year by year, while overseas transport demand for heavy machinery products exported to Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe has kept growing annually.

According to statistics, Liuzhou exported more than 300,000 vehicles in 2025, setting a new all-time high.

Authorities in Dongping County of east China's Shandong Province launched their annual fish stocking program on Tuesday, aiming to release more than 18 million fry including silver carp, bighead carp and grass carp into Dongping Lake.

The stocking, which will run until April 18, is intended to boost fish populations, restore ecological balance and support sustainable fisheries, officials said.

Dongping has carried out the program for 22 consecutive years, releasing a total of 378 million fry, with local officials saying the effort has become a cornerstone of the lake's ecological management.
