Yutong, a leading Chinese bus manufacturer based in Zhengzhou, central China's Henan Province, is making bold strides in global markets with country-specific strategies.
With global trade tensions running high, Yutong is expanding its reach beyond traditional markets, leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative to tap into opportunities in Europe, Central Asia and beyond.
"Yutong adopts a diversified approach to global market development, meaning we formulate tailored solutions for each market. For example, in Europe, we design products to meet their energy saving, emission reduction and low-carbon requirements. In Africa, our focus is on environmental adaptability. In Central Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, we design products suited to local environmental conditions and ensure compliance with the regulations of each country," said Miao Yuan, Yutong's International Business Manager.
The company is also committed to addressing the challenging environmental conditions in various regions of the world.
With sustainability as a priority, Yutong aims not only to export vehicles but also to provide solutions to the world's pressing environmental issues.
"To tackle the low temperature environment in northern Europe, Yutong has developed solutions such as intelligent temperature control and pre-combustion heating, to ensure that our vehicles can operate normally in low temperature conditions. In response to the high temperature environment in the Middle East, Yutong has equipped vehicles with high-capacity air conditioning systems that can cool down rapidly, ensuring a comfortable interior temperature and delivering a more human-centered experience for both drivers and passengers," said Luo Mengmeng, High-end Products Manager of Yutong.
Yutong is also leveraging the China-Europe Railway Express, an overland route that links China with major European cities, to expedite the delivery of their buses to European destinations.
"The China-Europe freight trains have created a new transportation channel to Europe, Central Asia and ASEAN countries. Compared with traditional sea and air transportation, we are offering shippers more options and logistics solutions," said Zhang Yi, Planning and Development Manager of the Zhengzhou International Hub Construction and Development Company.
