Central government offices in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Tuesday morning held solemn flag-raising ceremonies to mark the 28th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
At 07:00, the Liaison office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the HKSAR hosted separate flag-raising ceremonies to celebrate the occasion.
All the attendees stood in solemn reverence, saluting with eyes to the national flag and singing the national anthem in unison, extending their best wishes for the country and Hong Kong.
A day earlier, the Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR also held a flag-raising ceremony to mark the fifth anniversary of the implementation of the national security law in Hong Kong.
