Russia claimed on Monday that its forces had targeted Ukrainian military airports and military-industrial facilities, while Ukraine reported on the same day that its troops had contained Russian forces on multiple fronts and repelled attacks.

Russia's Ministry of Defense said in its latest briefing that over the past day, its forces had launched large-scale attacks on Ukrainian military airports and military-industrial facilities using long-range precision weapons and drones, including the Dagger hypersonic air-launched ballistic missile.

Additionally, Russian troops have seized control of two additional settlements in the Donetsk region. Russian air defense forces shot down one HIMARS rocket and downed 203 drones.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the same day that 158 fights had occurred along the front lines in the past 24 hours.

The Ukrainian Air Force, missile units, and artillery struck eight Russian military personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration areas, one radar station, and one artillery system.

The Ukrainian troops were reported to be continuing to contain Russian forces in multiple directions, repelling Russian advances and destroying equipment, including 235 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A Russian legal portal website said on Monday that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin had signed a government decree to close 20 highway and railway border crossings between Russia and Ukraine starting from August 1.

According to Russian media reports, all 20 border crossings are currently non-operational.

Ukraine has not yet responded to this information.
