Russia said on Monday that its forces had captured another settlement in eastern Donetsk region, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported active defense and gains on all fronts.
Russia's Ministry of Defense said in its latest briefing that over the past 24 hours, its armed forces continued to launch strikes on the Ukrainian military in multiple directions, including Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk.
Russian air forces, attack drones, missile forces and artillery units destroyed Ukrainian long-range drone assembly and storage sites, ammunition depots, and temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the same day that 137 clashes took place in frontline areas in the past 24 hours, with Ukrainian troops conducting active defense and achieving positive results on all fronts.
Also on Monday, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that its military launched a long-range drone attack on the Arzamas Instrument-Building Plant in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod, an essential military-industrial facility supplying components for cruise missiles.

Carney arrived in Beijing on Wednesday to begin a four-day official visit to China, marking the first trip to the country by a Canadian prime minister in eight years.
