The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 64,871, with 164,610 injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Sunday.
Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks in Gaza have killed 68 people and injured 346, according to health authorities.
Of those, 10 were killed and eight wounded while seeking food at aid distribution sites, the authorities added.
Since the U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) began distributing aid on May 27, 2,494 people seeking aid have been killed and 18,135 injured, according to the statement.
The health authorities also reported two more deaths from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours.
The Israeli military has continued striking high-rise buildings in Gaza City over the past few days.
On Sunday alone, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck three high-rise buildings in the city, claiming they were used by Hamas. It said that residents of the three buildings and surrounding areas had been warned to leave before launching strikes.
