The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in Guizhou Province, southwest China, is set to officially complete and start operations on Sunday, becoming the world's tallest bridge.

The bridge is 2,890 meters long with a main span of 1,420 meters. Rising 625 meters above the river, it will set the record for both the tallest bridge in the world and the world's largest span bridge built in a mountainous area.

Since the project began in early 2022, the construction team has overcome the natural barrier of the Huajiang Grand Canyon and adopted several new technologies and processes, including drones, intelligent monitoring, and ultra-high-strength materials, to achieve millimeter-level construction accuracy at an altitude of 600 meters.
