The Sixth PLA Air Force International Cadets Week opened on Monday at the PLA Air Force Engineering University in northwest China's Xi'an City, bringing together cadets from China and 17 other countries, including Indonesia and Egypt.

Under the theme of "Mutual Exchange and Learning, Enhancing Friendship, and Striving Together for a Better Future," the event gathers participants from over 10 Chinese military academies and their international counterparts. Over the next week, Chinese and foreign cadets will be mixed into teams for joint study, training, and cultural activities to enhance mutual understanding and forge friendships.

"This is my first time coming to China, and this activity too. I feel a bit surprised and kind of excited about the culture and technologies I'm going to see," said Surawet from Thailand.

"I watched a lot of videos on TikTok. And I think that the parades are so impressive, because of the marching. You feel the very spirit," said Dominica from Ecuador.

First held in 2012, the Air Force International Cadets Week has become a key platform for exchanges between Chinese and foreign military academies. During the event, participants will visit educational and training facilities, take part in Model United Nations conferences, and observe China's modern military equipment.

"I am glad to participate in this year's international cadets week. Through communications with cadets from foreign militaries, I have had the opportunity to learn about their military knowledge and cultures," shared Chinese cadet Si Minghui.

"Air Force China is the future of the Air Force in the world because of the good technology and the good discipline," said Shakir from Indonesia.

"The event not only helps cadets from all countries build friendships across borders but also contributes to their personal growth and holds lasting significance for future cooperation in the aerospace field," concluded Wang Wei from the hosting university.

Two pairs of giant panda twins, born in 2023, made their much-anticipated public debut on Tuesday at the Qinling Four Rare Animals Science Park in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

The two pairs are Chang Qing (meaning evergreen in Chinese) and Chang Ning (meaning lasting peace in Chinese), as well as Chang Qing (meaning lasting auspiciousness in Chinese) and Chang Le (meaning lasting happiness in Chinese), respectively.

The four lively pandas put on quite a show -- one showed off an impressive upside-down hook move, while another twirled happily on a play facility. The other two took a more relaxed approach, lying on the ground munching bamboo before tumbling into a playful wrestle once their bellies were full.

The four captive-bred panda cubs are all about two and a half years old, and are already able to eat bamboo skillfully on their own.

Their lively interactions not only entertain visitors but also boost their physical activity, aid digestion, and support healthy growth.
