China Media Group unveils new Shaanxi Bureau in Xi'an

China Media Group (CMG) unveiled a new bureau in Xi'an, the provincial capital of northwest China's Shaanxi, on Thursday.

Zhao Yide, secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CMG) Central Committee and president of CMG, jointly unveiled the plaque for the new bureau. Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and governor of Shaanxi Province Zhao Gang also attended the event.

In his speech, Shen said CMG will tap into the Shaanxi's rich historical and cultural resources, revolutionary heritage, and natural ecological assets in its work, thereby contributing to high-quality development of the province.

At the event, CMG signed a cooperation framework agreement with Xi'an Jiaotong University, a comprehensive research university. Both sides pledged to further strengthen cooperation in industry-education integration, talent development and training in all-media communication, as well as the construction of the national all-media communication system, among others.

The special program "Yan'an Poem Society" and the short video program "Chang'an Recitation," part of CMG's famous program "The China Poetry Competition," also premiered at the event.

Additionally, the "National Trend City" project was launched at the event. CMG seeks to promote Shaanxi's cultural heritage and tourism through live broadcasts on new media platforms and innovative short videos, highlighting the province's historical and contemporary significance.

On the same day, CMG's "Rural Revitalization Observation Point" was established in Yuanjia Village, Xianyang City. CMG reporters will conduct on-site visits to showcase the province's experience in rural revitalization in the new era.

The Ukrainian air force reported on Tuesday that the Russian army launched one of the largest drone attacks since the start of the conflict. On that day alone, the Russian army deployed over 550 drones to carry out the attack. Furthermore, from 18:00 on Monday, to 18:00 on Tuesday, the Russian army had already used nearly 1,000 drones of various models to strike Ukrainian targets.
