Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force launched a week-long defense achievements exhibition in Tehran on Wednesday, showcasing dozens of domestically produced missiles and drones.

Held at the National Aerospace Park, the exhibition showcases a wide array of Iran's self-developed advanced weaponry, prominently featuring over a dozen missile types. Among these are the "Fattah" series hypersonic missiles, known for their high speed and maneuverability, alongside ballistic missiles such as the "Sejjil," known for its solid-fuel propulsion and long-range capabilities, and the "Kheibar Shekan," recognized for its precision and extended range.

Additionally, the showcase includes a variety of reconnaissance and combat drones, highlighting capabilities in surveillance and targeted strikes.

Iranian visitors said that the advanced missiles on show were used in recent conflicts with Israel, during which the weapons successfully breached the Israeli air defense systems. They believe that continuously strengthening defense capabilities is the only way for Iran to prevent future attacks by foreign countries.

"The United States claims that it wants better security for the region, but it actually just seeks to control this region and make everyone submit to its wishes. The U.S. only has subjugation in mind; it doesn't want other countries to gain independence or freedom," said Mohammad, a visitor to the exhibition.

The United States Central Command released a statement on Tuesday saying that a U.S. Army Apache helicopter gunship crashed near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, and that its two crew members had been rescued.

According to the statement, two crew members from a U.S. Army AH-64 Apache were rescued by American forces after their helicopter went down at 7:33 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday near the coast of Oman while patrolling regional waters.

The soldiers were rescued within around two hours and are in stable condition.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway, although U.S. President Donald Trump said in a social media post that the helicopter had been shot down by Iran.

"I have just been informed ... that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz," Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday.

The two pilots onboard the helicopter were rescued and are "safe and uninjured," Trump said.

"Nevertheless, the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack," he added.
