With a focus on China's innovations in agriculture and forestry, Kafesh Shamshi, a purchaser from Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, agreed with a company based in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to conduct on-site inspections and in-depth discussions after the fair.

Shamshi, who run an agriculture and forestry company, said this is his third visit to China, and the country's openness and vitality have left a deep impression on him.

"[There're] many things which are very interesting. We've looked at robotics, we've looked at drone technology, we've looked at manufacturing -- so many things which we're going to take away and hopefully develop. China, as I've been here before, is very impressive -- always innovating, always doing new things, always doing more. That's why we keep coming back," said Shamshi.

Elena, an Italian buyer from a tech company, said she came to the fair to seek strategic cooperation with Chinese enterprises in robotics. She said that her company has found several robotics companies for preliminary discussions.

"We are a software company, so we are specialized in AI competition and AI software development. We are here to explore about this platform," she said.

The fair also helped Chinese companies to get in touch with international clients, said an exhibitor.

"Their purchasing enthusiasm is quite strong. A platform like the CHTF provides us with great support, enabling us to connect with international clients," said Liu Wenhao, overseas business manager of Noetix Robotics, a Chinese robotics company.

To offer efficient and precise matchmaking services, organizers of the event categorized exhibit information and buyer requirements, and established dedicated zones for international procurement.

Furthermore, the fair featured an exhibition area for international sci-tech achievements, bringing together cutting-edge innovations from over 50 international institutions and companies from Asia, Europe, Americas and more.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Ukraine stands ready to agree to security guarantees based on NATO's Article 5 as part of a compromise in the peace process, according to media reports.

"From the very beginning, Ukraine's desire was to join NATO, these are real security guarantees. Some partners from the United States and Europe did not support this direction," the Ukrinform news agency quoted Zelensky.

Zelensky said Article 5-like guarantees from the United States and from European partners, as well as from other countries, "would provide an opportunity to prevent another arrival of Russian troops." He also called it "a compromise on our part."

Zelensky said he was not yet ready to disclose specific details of the proposed security guarantees, saying they would be known in a day or two.

Ukrainian president arrived in Berlin on Sunday afternoon for talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and other European leaders.

German newspaper Bild reported that Zelensky may also hold talks with representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump, but did not elaborate further.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky said the same day that Ukraine must be prepared for any possible developments regarding elections.

"I asked our partners to assist with the security situation if elections are held, and I said that lawmakers should prepare options for how this could be implemented if the situation develops in that direction. They should work out, in the near future, options for holding elections," he said in a statement in response to journalists' questions.

He said he had received "signals" from the United States and President Trump regarding Ukraine's presidential election.
