China's top political advisor Wang Huning met with visiting President of Luxembourg's Parliament Claude Wiseler in Beijing on Friday.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China is willing to work with Luxembourg to uphold mutual respect, strengthen mutual trust, deepen cooperation, and seek common development.

He said that China stands ready to work with Luxembourg to promote people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding, enhance multilateral coordination and global cooperation, so as to advance steady and sustained growth of bilateral ties, and make contributions to China-EU relations.

The CPPCC National Committee stands ready to contribute to the friendly cooperation between China and Luxembourg, said Wang.

Wiseler said Luxembourg-China relations are built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust, and have maintained steady and long-term development.

Noting that Luxembourg is a friend of China, Wiseler said the country adheres to the one-China policy and hopes to further enhance cooperation in economy, trade, finance, culture and other fields, becoming a good example of win-win development for countries of different sizes.
