The Hamas-run media office said Sunday that Israel had committed 969 violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, resulting in 418 deaths and 1,141 injuries since the truce began.
The office said that since the ceasefire went into force, Israel had persistently committed serious and systematic violations and flagrantly breached international humanitarian law.
It emphasized that 20 deaths were related to Israel's ban on the entry of tents, prefabricated houses, and materials for temporary shelters, coupled with the onset of winter cold waves and the collapse of dozens of damaged buildings. Two children have died from exposure to the cold while sheltering in tents.
It called on the international community, the United Nations, and the guarantors of the ceasefire to fulfill their responsibilities to ensure Israel's full implementation of the ceasefire agreement and immediately allow the entry of aid supplies such as tents into Gaza.
The media office said only 19,764 truckloads of humanitarian relief have entered Gaza since the ceasefire, far below the 48,000 truckloads stipulated in the agreement.
