A residential building in Venezuela's coastal state of Catia La Mar was struck on Saturday during U.S. military operations that led to the capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, who were flown out of the country.

Footage showed parts of the three‑story building damaged, with its exterior wall hit and steel fences outside one room bent and deformed.

Local reports indicated that the strike left one person dead and another injured.

Separately, U.S. media reported that at least 40 people, including civilians and soldiers, were killed in a large-scale assault early Saturday morning, citing a senior Venezuelan official.

The military action has since drawn widespread international condemnation, with multiple countries urging a coordinated global response.

Significant water activities still existed on the surface of Mars until approximately 750 million years ago, said Chinese researchers on Tuesday after analyzing high-frequency radar data obtained by China's first Mars rover Zhurong.

The latest finding extends Mars' history of harboring water by several hundred million years, providing new evidence for a renewed understanding of the planet's climatic evolution, geological processes, and potential habitability for lives, said the Institute of Geology and Geophysics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Previously, the scientific community believed that Mars had entered an overall arid stage about 3 billion years ago.
