China consistently places relations with the ROK high on its regional diplomatic agenda and stands ready to work with the ROK to uphold good neighborliness and friendship, strengthen strategic communication, consolidate political mutual trust, seek common ground while shelving differences, and build more consensus, so as to continuously advance bilateral relations along the right track and better serve the wellbeing of the two peoples, said the premier.

Noting that China and the ROK are important economic and trade partners, Li said the two sides have fully leveraged their economic complementarity and achieved fruitful results in cooperation since they established diplomatic relations more than 30 years ago, greatly contributing to the development of both countries.

China and the ROK share close economic ties and boast efficient transportation systems, with their industrial and supply chains deeply interwoven, Li said, calling on the two nations to stay committed to healthy competition and sound collaboration rather than a zero-sum mentality, and provide more certainty for each other's development through greater cooperation.

China stands ready to work with the ROK to promote market openness and connectivity, actively advance cooperation in such emerging fields as high-end manufacturing, artificial intelligence and new energy technologies, deepen industrial integration and alignment, and jointly foster new growth drivers, said Li.

He called on the two countries to jointly adhere to multilateralism and free trade, safeguard international fairness and justice, and contribute to promoting peace, stability and development in the region and the world at large.

Lee, for his part, said the ROK attaches great importance to relations with China and respect China's core interests.

The ROK is willing to maintain close dialogue and exchanges with China, deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in economy, trade and other fields, and joint keep abreast with the times in pursuit of win-win cooperation.

The president said the ROK side actively encourages its enterprises to expand cooperation with China and welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and start businesses in his country.

He expressed the willingness to enhance communication and coordination on multilateral affairs with China, and to jointly safeguard free trade and promote regional and international peace and stability.

The Global Mayors Dialogue opened in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Tuesday, bringing together mayors and senior city officials from across Europe, Asia, and North America to have in-depth exchanges on practical approaches to developing the ice and snow economy.

Held under the theme "Connecting the World with Ice and Snow, Win-Win Cooperation for a Shared Future", the three-day event gathered mayors, deputy mayors, and mayoral representatives from cities across the globe, including Canada, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Türkiye, focusing on the ice and snow economy, cultural integration, smart city development, heritage preservation, and urban governance.

The event featured a main dialogue and a scenario-based dialogue salon to foster in-depth exchanges and spark new ideas. Guests are invited to visit iconic sites such as the Harbin Ice and Snow World and attend the opening ceremony and trade events of the Harbin Ice and Snow Economy Expo, which are showcasing Harbin's achievements in building an ice and snow economy brand, strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, and inheriting ice and snow culture.

Harbin, called China's "ice city", has turned its long, cold winters into a major tourist attraction. Last winter, it welcomed a record 90.36 million visitors, generating 137.22 billion yuan (about 19.44 billion U.S. dollars) in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 16.6 percent.
