Agarwal brings more than 16 years of experience building and scaling AI-driven products used by millions. During her tenure at Google, she led key product initiatives across Google Cloud and Google Workspace, including the rollout of generative AI capabilities through Gemini integrations in Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Sheets. Earlier, she led product for a pioneering conversational AI venture within Google’s Area 120 incubator, which was later integrated into Google Cloud AI. She began her career at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab, contributing to early work on large-scale AI systems.
As AI moves from experimentation to production, organizations are increasingly managing multiple models, APIs, and infrastructure environments. This shift is creating a new bottleneck: not building AI, but operating it efficiently, reliably, and at scale. NeuReality launched NR-NEXUS to address this challenge with a unified operating layer designed to simplify how AI services are deployed, orchestrated, and run across heterogeneous environments and more importantly, offload that time-consuming complexity off customers.
“AI builders should be focused on creating intelligence and user value, not stitching together fragmented infrastructure across models and environments,” said Moshe Tanach, CEO of NeuReality. “As the foundation layer continues to commoditize, the challenge shifts to operating AI systems in production. NR-NEXUS is designed to be that operating layer - enabling organizations to run AI services efficiently, economically, and at scale, without needing to become infrastructure experts.”
“Enterprise AI is entering a new phase,” said Agarwal. “The opportunity is no longer only about building better models, but about making AI systems practical to operate in the real world across different environments, workloads, and business requirements. That requires a new operating layer between models and production applications. NR-NEXUS is addressing this gap, and I’m excited to help bring it to a broader set of customers and partners.”
“Shalini has spent her career bringing AI and software products to millions of users,” added Tanach. “Her experience at the application layer will be instrumental in building NR-NEXUS to serve real production AI applications.”
In her role, Agarwal will work closely with NeuReality’s leadership team on product strategy and as the company expands NR-NEXUS for organizations deploying AI at scale. NR-NEXUS is a hardware-agnostic platform that unifies AI inference across CPUs, GPUs, and networking infrastructure, optimizing end-to-end data flows and token economics and service level objectives, improving utilization, and reducing the cost of delivering AI services. It also enables organizations to run and route a variety of workloads serving their line of business, dynamically across both open-source and proprietary models and APIs, allowing greater flexibility without locking into a single approach.
NeuReality is continuing to expand the ecosystem around NR-NEXUS with a focus on making production AI infrastructure more open, efficient, and accessible across even the most complex environments.
