A Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said on Thursday that the root cause of the current severe difficulties besetting China-Japan relations lies in the erroneous remarks regarding Taiwan made by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, urging Japan to reflect, correct its wrongdoings, and create the necessary conditions for normal exchanges.

Spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to a query, as six months have passed since Takaichi publicly claimed that a Taiwan contingency could constitute a "survival-threatening situation" for Japan, implying possible military involvement.

"The current serious difficulties in China-Japan relations stem from erroneous remarks made by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi regarding Taiwan, and the responsibility lies entirely with Japan. Genuine exchanges and dialogue should be based on mutual respect and adherence to consensus. If Japan truly wishes to improve China-Japan relations, it should abide by the four political documents between China and Japan and its own commitments, retract its erroneous remarks, and take concrete actions to safeguard the political foundation of China-Japan relations. We urge the Japanese authorities to face the root of the problem, reflect on and correct their wrongdoings, and create the necessary conditions for normal exchanges between China and Japan," said Lin.

China's fourth-generation independent superconducting quantum computer, "Origin Wukong 180," or 180-qubit Origin Wukong, officially went online on Saturday, starting to accept quantum computing tasks from users around the world.

The new system marks a further step forward in China's quantum computing capabilities. According to developers, the very quantum computer integrates four key core systems which are the quantum computing chip system, measurement and control system, environmental support system and operating system, all of which have been developed independently within China.

On Jan 6, 2024, the 72-qubit Origin Wukong, the third generation, was launched globally and has been stably operating for more than two years since then. So far, it has provided quantum computing services to around 50 million visits from more than 160 countries and regions worldwide.
