Hong Kong stocks close lower

Hong Kong's stock market ended lower on Friday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 1.15 percent to close at 24,961.95 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 0.77 percent to settle at 8,436.63 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 1.75 percent to end at 4,888.39 points.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday held a phone call with Khalil al-Hayya, a senior official of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to exchange views on the latest regional situation.

Al-Hayya said that Israel's ongoing aggression against Gaza is undermining the ceasefire deal, and stressed that the resistance group and the Palestinian people remain steadfast in their position and will keep fighting until the Palestinian national objectives are achieved.

Araghchi briefed al-Hayya on the latest measures Iran has taken to stop the war in the region, and emphasized that Iran will continue to support the Palestinian and Lebanese people and oppose Israeli occupation and aggression.
