Scholars and officials from Indonesia and Italy spoke highly of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s people-centered philosophy, recognizing it as a governance model for other parties and countries.
Wednesday marks the 105th founding anniversary of the CPC.
Under the leadership of the CPC, China has grown into the world's second-largest economy, made major advances in science and technology, significantly improved the people's living standards, and become an important force of stability and certainty in a turbulent world.
Speaking with China Media Group (CMG) on the occasion of the CPC's 105th founding anniversary, global experts said the key to the CPC's remarkable achievements lies in its unwavering commitment to always putting the people's interests first.
"For me, China is a kind of a reflection of how the government can work, not only for the state, but also for the people. Take an example: there is no state, no country in the history that can lift 800 million people out from poverty within one single generation. You can tell the U.S., the UK, they can lift up [from] poverty within three, four generations, but China in one single generation. So for me, if you don't have any people-centered philosophy that drives the way how the government works, I don't think you can do that," said Moch Karim, an associate professor in international relations of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia.
"A revelation from the CPC is 'serving the people,' that is, to formulate a political route that reflects the people's most fundamental needs and their simplest aspirations. Every country and every nation has different needs and aspirations. So, what the CPC taught us is not exactly 'what to do', because we cannot simply copy the specific practices of the CPC, but it does show us how to do it," said Alberto Lombardo, general secretary of the Communist Party of Italy.
