A Russian scholar acclaimed Chinese President Xi Jinping's emphasis on long-term planning and youth development, saying the vision outlined in Xi's speech at a gathering in Beijing marking the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday reflects a forward-looking approach to national development.

In an interview with the China Global Television Network (CGTN) in Khabarovsk, Russia on Wednesday, Yuriy Pikalov, a professor with Russia's Pacific National University, said the CPC's commitment to preparing younger generations for the future is vital to ensuring the country's continued development and prosperity.

"This is the idea of Comrade Xi Jinping, which is that the Party and the country should always take a forward-looking stance, grounding themselves in the present while planning for the future. Tomorrow belongs to young people, so it would be quite understandable and wise to direct the development of policies that encourage them to engage in solving current and future challenges of the Party, the state, and the world," he said.

Pikalov said cultivating young people's sense of responsibility and preparing them to carry forward the nation's development requires sustained efforts in education and cultural inheritance.

"Therefore, we must develop a policy that, above all, can shape the social consciousness of young people and align it with the current national development needs and fundamental interests. For future youth to continue the legacy of today's generation, they must be prepared today. To achieve this, we must pursue a policy that is meticulous and deeply committed to respecting youth. Educating young people is imperative, and they should be educated within the finest traditions. This process should integrate historical heritage, folk culture, and the national spirit to ensure they are passed on to the next generation. It must be reinforced through the transfer of this experience of the current generation to the next generation of youth, and it should always be given the utmost importance, the most careful attention, the greatest importance. to secure the future of a state," he said.
