The 2026 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour concluded on Sunday at the Circuit Paul Ricard in southern France, with Chinese-brand race cars securing consecutive podium finishes.

The TCR World Tour features eight rounds this season, with France as the third stop, attracting teams and drivers from Europe, Asia and other regions to compete fiercely during the two-day event.

In the two races on Sunday, Chinese-brand race cars claimed two second-place finishes and one third-place finish. The continuous improvement of their competitive performance has earned the recognition of international racers and event organizers.

"Today the Chinese cars handled the heat challenge very well. The weather here is extremely hot, with air temperature over 36 degrees Celsius and track temperature over 60 degrees. So high temperatures have always been a major test for us. I am really looking forward to going to China and meeting Chinese fans again. The support we've received is huge, and it gives us constant motivation to keep winning more championships and trophies for Chinese-brand racing cars," said Yann Ehrlacher, French racing driver.

"I have to say they (the Chinese team) did a fantastic job in the development of the car, and they also followed all this management during the running of the event. And because you know, it's a very tough championship. Without good management, without a good job, it's very difficult to have a podium, and they have a podium each time. Congratulations," said Marcello Lotti, founder of TCR World Tour and president of WSC Group.

The TCR World Tour is a major international touring car championship recognized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). All competing vehicles are based on production models, which not only test performance and reliability but also serve as an important platform for global automakers to demonstrate technological strength and validate product capabilities.
