Amid relentless floodwaters, the pure, innocent voice of a five-year-old girl singing "Ode to the Motherland" brought warmth and renewed strength to a team of exhausted rescuers in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

On Wednesday evening, the streets of Dasongshi Community in Guigang City were submerged in floodwater. A 30-member rescue team from the Guangxi Armed Police Corps rushed to the scene and immediately began checking residents door-to-door to evacuate them to safety.

The armed police officers pushed their inflatable boat through muddy water, prioritizing the evacuation of the elderly and children. It was during one of these trips that a heartwarming moment unfolded. A five-year-old girl, held safely in her mother's arms, began singing "Ode to the Motherland".

The touching moment, captured on video, quickly spread across social media as netizens hailed it as both a heartfelt tribute to the soldiers and a powerful symbol of the bond between the people and the armed forces.

"By the time we were evacuating the little girl, we had already moved several groups of stranded residents to safety. I felt very tired, and my legs were heavy. Soaked in the rain, I was very cold. But when I heard the little girl's singing in the stormy night, I was deeply touched and profoundly inspired. My heart swelled with emotion, and my body was filled with strength," said Mu Haibin, an armed police officer from the Guangxi Armed Police Corps.

A U.S. military delegation arrived in Lebanon on Saturday and began talks with the Lebanese military on formulating mechanisms for a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from two areas within the "security zone" in southern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese military source.

The source said the talks were aimed at activating the first pilot zone within the broader "security zone." Israeli forces would withdraw from this area to allow Lebanese troops to deploy there. The first zone is set to be activated within days, with planning for additional zones also advancing.

Lebanon has told the U.S. side it will skip the next round of Lebanon-Israel talks in Rome until Israel completes the agreed withdrawal, according to earlier reports.

Israel, the U.S. and Lebanon wrapped up four days of ceasefire and withdrawal talks in Washington D.C. on June 26 and announced a trilateral framework agreement, which includes a pilot program for Israeli forces to pull out of two areas on both sides of the Litani River in southern Lebanon, with the Lebanese army to deploy to these areas under U.S. escort.
