Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday announced a cabinet reshuffle aimed at implementing the country's updated political strategy.
In a post on social media, Zelensky said the new strategy would assign each foreign policy priority to an official with relevant substantial experience.
He also expressed his intention to work alongside Ukraine's political parties to complete the government reorganization. He added that there would be changes in the leadership of law enforcement agencies.
Zelensky thanked Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko for her steady and effective service during her tenure and said that he had offered her the opportunity to lead "a new and important area of relations with a key partner."
However, Zelensky did not specify who he would ask to lead the government or what Svyrydenko's new position would be. Reports suggested that Svyrydenko is highly expected to become Ukraine's next ambassador to the United States.
