“Vikas brings a valuable perspective on data center and AI infrastructure, along with more than three decades of semiconductor operating and general management experience,” said Sanjeev Aggarwal, president and CEO of Everspin Technologies. “His experience will be particularly valuable as we expand adoption of our STT-MRAM products in data center and AI applications.”

He began his semiconductor career as a mixed-signal designer at STMicroelectronics.

“The demands being placed on memory are changing rapidly, particularly in data center and AI infrastructure, and that creates an important opportunity for Everspin,” Choudhary said. “I look forward to bringing my industry and customer perspective to the board as the company works to expand the adoption of its MRAM technology.”

Choudhary holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

The appointment follows the retirement of Lawrence Finch from Everspin’s board of directors, effective August 4, 2026.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 12, 2026--

GMO GlobalSign, Inc. a global Certificate Authority (CA) and leading provider of identity security, digital signing and IoT solutions, today announced that in the month of June, the company’s Digital Signing Service (DSS) surpassed 6 million signatures for the first time. The number of timestamps also saw record levels of activity in June, with more than 5.5 million used. In addition, compared to 18 months ago, it is clear there is ongoing expansion of this offering. The high level of DSS usage underscores that businesses worldwide continue to adopt modern document signing methods. Another critical factor is the rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. This will add to the pressure organizations are already faced with to implement secure, compliant digital processes; high-assurance signing solutions have become a critical component of organizational infrastructure.

Key Takeaways

Reasons for Expansion

GMO GlobalSign has been offering DSS since 2017 and was one of the first CAs to provide a capability for digital signatures and timestamps. In that time, the annual usage increased fivefold. Contributing factors to this growth include remote work during and following the pandemic, the gradual decline of paper-based document signing, the implementation of regulations worldwide and the expansion of document workflow solutions in broad array of industries.

“Digital transformation, bolstered and enabled by the proliferation of AI across enterprise environments, is radicalizing workflow expectations around efficiency. Mounting pressures around efficiency are only further compounded by increasingly stringent regulatory requirements across verticals and complex enterprise structures, including distributed, remote, and siloed teams. Under those conditions, solution elasticity and scalability is paramount, pushing cloud-based orchestration capabilities to the market forefront. Meanwhile, balancing change management and integration friction with ongoing compliance demands is critical for enterprises, centering high-assurance digital trust providers like GMO GlobalSign within the broader signing segment.” Aisling Dawson, Senior Analyst atABI Research.

Industry by industry

Financial services: High-volume contract processing, strict SEC and FINRA audit requirements, and growing cross-border transaction volumes make PKI-based signing essential. DSS provides verifiable signer identity, trusted timestamps, and non-repudiation — the foundation of legally defensible financial documentation.

Healthcare: DSS's encryption and audit trail capabilities align healthcare providers with both current HIPAA requirements and the direction of proposed 2026 regulation — while integrating with EHR systems and existing workflows.

Government: Public sector digital transformation programs worldwide are driving rapid adoption of trusted digital signing. DSS supports the identity verification and document integrity standards required for legally binding government-issued documentation.

Technology & cybersecurity: As organizations integrate signature workflows into CRM, ERP, and document management platforms, API-first signing infrastructure has become a baseline requirement. DSS's RESTful API enables seamless embedding into any platform, so security teams can enforce signing policy consistently at scale.

“As regulatory expectations continue to evolve globally, organizations need signing solutions that go beyond basic e-signatures,” said Mohit Kumar, Vice President Product Management, GMO GlobalSign. “In addition, with AI increasingly a factor in security, identity-backed digital signatures can be another verification method to confirm authenticity.”
