But the real chasm is in industrial production capacity and wartime resupply. The US military burned through 1,300 ATACMS tactical missiles and now faces a resupply crisis. The root cause is its fragile defense industrial supply chain.

ATACMS is the US Army's primary land-based tactical ballistic missile. Total production since it entered service is roughly over 4,000 units. Subtract consumption in past conflicts, military aid to Ukraine, and recent attrition in the Middle East, combat-ready stockpiles have plunged.
