The coast guard of east China's Fujian Province on Saturday conducted routine law-enforcement patrols in accordance with the law in the waters near Kinmen, a spokesperson with the China Coast Guard (CCG) said.
Zhu Anqing, the spokesperson, said the Fujian coast guard had dispatched task groups to strengthen control and management over relevant waters in August.
Jinmen, a group of islands administered by China’s Taiwan, located just off the coast of Xiamen City, Fujian Province.
It is an effective step to protect the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the lives and property of fishermen on both sides of the Strait, and to ensure orderly navigation and activities in the waters between Xiamen and Kinmen, according to Zhu.
A video released by the China Coast Guard shows the Fujian Coast Guard broadcasting a message to Kinmen vessels 10083 and 3556 on Saturday.
"Kinmen Vessel 10083, Vessel 3556, this is China Coast Guard Vessel Shanzhou. Our formation is carrying out a law enforcement patrol. Please do not misjudge the situation and hinder our navigational safety," said a CCG member.

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a written statement on Friday calling for domestic innovation and greater economic resilience to combat intensifying U.S. and Israeli sanctions, while strictly banning any actions that undermine social cohesion.
In the statement, Khamenei praised the government's efforts in face of mounting U.S. economic blockades.
He urged the nation to continue to strive, innovate, and demonstrate its strength and power under the current complex situation.
Khamenei said that Iranian authorities should prioritize economies and public livelihoods, boost domestic production, and systematically reduce the dominance of the U.S. dollar within the national economy.
He also called for efforts to gradually eliminate the negative factors in the national economy.
Khamenei also emphasized the need to leverage new technologies across the industrial, agricultural, cultural, and educational sectors to promote the nation's development and progress.
He urged Iranian authorities to avoid any discouraging statements that would weaken national and public motivation, stressing that any behavior or speech damaging to national social cohesion is strictly prohibited.
