International gold and silver prices closed lower on Wednesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for December delivery dropped 1.11 percent to settle at 4,140.70 U.S. dollars per ounce, while silver futures for December delivery lost 2.10 percent to close at 60.294 dollars per ounce.

Chinese stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.79 percent to 3,811.9 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.07 percent lower at 12,620.9 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 3.15 percent to close at 3,036.66 points.
The STAR Composite Index, which reflects the performance of stocks on China's sci-tech innovation board, closed 4.55 percent lower at 1,732.58 points.
