Hong Kong's stock market rallied on Friday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 1.79 percent to close at 24,211.35 points.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 1.71 percent to 8,147.87 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index soared 3.06 percent to 4,197.84 points.
Hang Seng Tech Index leads Hong Kong stocks rally
The STAR Composite Index, which reflects the performance of stocks on China's sci-tech innovation board, closed 0.34 percent lower at 1,726.71 points on Friday.
The STAR 50 Index, which tracks the 50 largest stocks listed on the board that also meet certain liquidity requirements, closed 0.07 percent higher at 1,457.27 points.
The sci-tech innovation board, commonly known as the STAR Market, was inaugurated in June 2019 at Shanghai Stock Exchange. It is designed to support companies in the high-tech and strategic emerging sectors.
