Diehard separatists from China's Taiwan region will not be allowed to profit from the Chinese mainland, a spokesman said Wednesday.

Chen Binhua, spokesman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the statement when responding to media reports on companies linked to Taiwan's diehard separatist Shen Pao-yang that sought to evade sanctions and reap profits in the mainland.

"In June 2025, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office announced punitive measures against Sicuens International Co., Ltd. headed by Shen Tu-cheng, father of diehard secessionist Shen Pao-yang. Investigations found that in order to evade the punishment measures, Shen Tu-cheng continued trade and business cooperation with relevant mainland enterprises under the name of another firm, VWAY, to reap economic gains," said Chen.

"Shen Pao-yang has whipped up anti-mainland rhetoric to obstruct cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation, while plotting with his relatives to make money from the mainland. Such a despicable conduct is shameful. The Chinese mainland will never allow any enterprises linked to diehard separatists from the Taiwan region to reap profits in the mainland, and has decided to impose punitive measures against VWAY, adopting necessary measures to bar the company from conducting any transactions or cooperation with mainland organizations, enterprises and individuals," Chen said.
