Youyiguan Port, or Friendship Pass, in Pingxiang City of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region neighboring Vietnam, had handled over one million cross-border vehicles as of Tuesday, according to Youyiguan Customs.
On Tuesday afternoon, a truck carrying electronic products completed seamless customs clearance at the port and headed for Vietnam, becoming the one-millionth cross-border vehicle handled by Youyiguan Customs this year.
According to the official data, the port now handles an average of over 3,000 inbound and outbound vehicles per day, an increase of more than 10 percent compared with last year.
From January to September this year, the total value of imports and exports passing through the port reached 575.08 billion yuan (about 86.2 billion U.S. dollar), up 29.7 percent year on year.
Youyiguan Port is one of China's largest and most convenient land ports connecting China to Vietnam and other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. It is also a crucial hub on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
In recent years, the port has upgraded its border clearance system with smart technologies, significantly reducing customs clearance times and providing greater convenience for vehicles entering and exiting the country.
