The Bayi Aerobatic Team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force won wide acclaim for its spectacular flight show featuring six J-10 aircraft at Don Mueang International Airport in Thailand on Saturday.

This is the team's second performance following the first one on Friday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Thailand diplomatic relations and the 88th anniversary of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF).

In the air show, the pilots performed more than 20 aerial stunts, including two aircraft passing by head to head at high speed, and six aircraft flying in formation.

The acrobatic aircraft left colored smoke trails of red, white, blue and gold, representing the elements of the Thai flag and the 50 years of golden friendship between China and Thailand.

"Every overseas performance is a window to show the image of Chinese soldiers, and we hope to extend the good wishes of the Chinese people through the air show. We will continue to go abroad and fly to the world with first-class standards and wonderful performances," said He Xiaoli, a member of the Bayi Aerobatic Team.

After the show, pilot representatives were organized to interact with Thai Air Force pilots and spectators.

"It's my first time to see China's self-developed aircraft flying in the sky, and I feel very proud. At the moment when the planes took off, I felt extremely proud as a Chinese," said a Chinese spectator.

"We are proud to represent the Chinese Air Force on the world stage. We will continue to show the world that the Chinese Air Force is open, confident and pursuing excellence with our wonderful flight performances, and make our contribution to the transmission of peace and friendship," said Jing Fei, also a member of the Bayi Aerobatic Team.

Established over 60 years ago, the team has performed more than 700 shows for over 700 delegations across more than 170 countries and regions.
