The 2025 Digital Economy Experience Week aims to promote the further integration of the digital economy with consumption to improve people's lives.

A 6,000-square-meter digital complex has been set up for the event which kicked off on June 27 and will last till July 5, featuring more than 10 themed exhibition areas.

The venue offers a variety of immersive interactive experiences, where visitors can explore the latest technological achievements from over 50 technology enterprises in a single stop.

Interactive projects integrating digital technology and cultural creativity, such as AI-powered voice picture book creation, AR-guided cultural relic tours, and markerless motion capture tech, are exhibited at the event.

Meanwhile, a technology marketplace has also opened to visitors in the outdoor pedestrian area of Beijing Fun, a commercial and cultural area.

"This year's Digital Economy Experience Week aims to make digital technology tangible and consumable, with a focus on the inclusive benefits of digital technology. By introducing 'scenario-based design' and 'IP-based operation', and integrating digital technology into consumption scenarios, we enable residents to intuitively experience the transformative changes and cultural creativity brought by digital technology," said Xu Ran, an official with Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.

The event is a key part of the ongoing 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference, which has brought together over 300 international guests from more than 50 countries and key international organizations, including the World Trade Organization, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Thursday presided over a State Council executive meeting that studied work on building a unified national market and reviewed and approved a plan for the development of a modern emergency response system during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).

Noting that building a unified national market is essential to advancing high-quality development, the meeting called for deepening institutional frameworks in areas such as property rights protection, market access, fair competition, social credit and market exit mechanisms.

The meeting also urged efforts to advance high-standard connectivity of market infrastructure to facilitate smooth economic circulation and effectively reduce logistics costs across society.

Emergency management is critical to protecting people's lives and property, the meeting said. It called for accelerating the development of a modern emergency response system, deepening reform and innovation in emergency management, and improving coordinated response mechanisms.

Efforts should be made to strengthen risk prevention at the source, enhance monitoring, forecasting and early warning, and accelerate a shift in governance toward proactive prevention, according to the meeting.

A draft revision of the Law on the People's Bank of China was also discussed and approved in principle at the meeting, which decided to submit the draft to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation.
